Exclamation! Publishers and Center for White Rose Studies currently offer the following topics for conferences and seminars. Please contact us if you would like additional information, or if you have a suggested topic we could add.
- General White Rose: The most options, from 3-hour sessions to full 5-1/2 day conferences.
- Jewish-German dialog: Offered in two versions. The first (Shoah: German Resistance and the Jewish Community) is best suited for synagogues, Hillel, or Jewish Studies programs. A similar version is available for interfaith or German-related societies.
- Historical Revisionism: We know when it's a bad idea (can you say Holocaust denial?)... But when is it a good thing?
- 20th Century Democracy: Entitled Cynical Idealism, this 3-hour seminar looks at the growth of democracy at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. How, why, and where do Theodor Herzl, Ludwig Thoma, Carl Muth, and other political thinkers intersect?
- Creative Nonfiction: How to write sound nonfiction using "dramatic" or "literary" techniques like dialog. Uses excerpts from Ruth's creative nonfiction novel Roses at Noon about the White Rose resistance movement.
- Inspired Writing: Jump start your writing with outside-the-box ways to look at wordsmithy. We believe that good writing always inspires.
